IDD’s nursing services oversee all medical concerns of the individuals in its care. This includes a full range of health services, from acute care such as treatment for the flu, to the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes. In addition, the nursing program professionals make sure their clients receive their regularly scheduled checkups and routine medical attention.
IDD Services professionals work closely with facility staff as well as with the therapists of every discipline, including occupational, physical, speech, behavioral and psychiatric therapists, to collectively provide the most effective and appropriate care to each individual they serve.
Weekly meetings and continuous communication help facility staff and IDD nursing professionals collaborate on client care.
